The Story of this Apron:
Made by Eunice Nambusi, Cluster 3, Kijiji cha Upendo.
Eunice is one of the big-hearted women in the slum community of Kibera, Kenya, who have taken orphaned children into their hearts and homes. She supports 5 biological and three orphaned children. Although a skilled tailor, before she joined Village of Love (in Swahili, Kijiji cha Upendo), she lacked business skills and struggled to make ends meet.
Now, through small business management training and a micro-loan, Eunice has grown her income to better feed her children and keep them in school.
in addition to the products she sells in Kibera, Eunice makes items especially for Village of Love Canada to help us raise funds for Kijiji Cha Upendo.
