Item Description
Point Arena Lighthouse Keepers, Point Area
Two Nights Mid-Week, Assistant Keeper’s House #4
Located at the tip of a narrow peninsula, on the wild Mendocino coast, stands the majestic Point Arena Lighthouse.
First constructed in 1870, the Lighthouse and the Keeper’s residence were destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
The new Lighthouse began operation in 1908 with a 1st Order Fresnel Lens, made up of over 600 hand-ground glass prisms, focused towards three sets of double “bulls eyes”. These bulls eyes give the Point Arena Lighthouse its “light signature” of two flashes every six seconds.
Within the shadow of the Lighthouse is the Lighthouse Keeper’s House #4. Recently renovated, there are 3 bedrooms, 2 private bathrooms, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room with a gas fireplace in the master suite, a full gourmet chef’s kitchen and dining area, and the most incredible views of the mighty Pacific.
Valid Sunday – Thursday through May 3, 2021. Holidays excluded.
