Artist Biography: Norman Mallard
Norman Mallard is a mixed-media artist living & working in Akron, Ohio. He was raised in the mid-1900s in Norfolk, Virginia, and has spent his whole career working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer. He received his Advertising Degree from Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia. His 20+ years in the “big city” of Washington, DC has influenced his collage work which is often crowded and slightly dystopic. His tin collages and assemblages are decidedly less so. He works from his basement studio, where his hoarding can be contained.
