About The Artist
Kathy has been creating as long as she can remember. She began playing with colour and design through free form quilt making in the early 1970's. This lifelong passion has led to her becoming an international award winning quilter, most recently exhibiting at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC.
Several years ago Kathy took the leap to painting and it has become her new passion. Having grown up in Oakville, her inspiration is found in the beauty and history of the town and it's surroundings.
Kathy paints with the "Waterside Art Group", a supportive group of talented artists, in a beautiful studio on the shores of Lake Ontario.
