Item Description
Soar in a vintage biplane that trained the airmen who won World War II. Strapping into the cockpit, donning a flight helmet, hearing the engine roar to life, feeling the air rush past at takeoff, and seeing the world around you in full surround is like nothing else in the world.
This aircraft was restored over a multi-year period and now lives in the Washington DC region, just a few miles south of National Harbor. You will receive a 30 minute airplane ride in a PT-13 Stearman from Maryland Airport in Indian Head, MD.
Piloting this half-hour flight will be Heather Penney, a combat-veteran F-16 fighter pilot. If you ask Heather, who is a certified flight instructor, she might even let you take the controls when the airplane is in the air to see what it's like to pilot this vintage aircraft.
