Item Description
Unframed photograph of a Columbine.
The image was captured by Peter Tabacco, a former Fire Chief for many years here in Kirkwood. He enjoyed taking photographs around Kirkwood in his spare time. He sold this photograph to Jeanne Reuter who had the photograph professionally matted and framed as a gift to her husband, Dick Reuter. Dick's favorite wildflower was the Columbine.
The photograph is today offered unframed and shrink wrapped for protection and ready for framing. It is mounted on a foam core. The matted work is presented on a second larger foam core to protect the edges of the image. The winning bidder can choose a new frame to match their decor.
The image itself is 19 inches wide by 29 1/2 inches high. With the mat, it is 24 inches by 35 inches .
While the image has remained sharp, clear and bright, there is a small rippling to the surface on the edge of the image.
Jeanne Reuter, a long time Kirkwood homeowner donated this photograph in support of the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department.
