Bumgarner

2017 El Dorado Elle:  Blend of Grenache, Mourvedre & Cinsault:  This medium bodied Rhone blend has a bricky red color with a purple core.  Supple red fruits with delicate marzipan, cedar and vanilla aromas.  Soft and round on the palate, this wine should be enjoyed in the next 4 - 6 years

2017 El Dorado Fiona:  GSM Blend, Grenache, Syrah & Mourvedre, Fall 2020 Library Club Release.  Blackberry and raspberry fruit are the dominant fruit aromas with hints of herbs and black olives, cinnamon spice and vanilla.  Rich and plush on the palate with lingering red fruit, baking spices and firm tannins on the finish.

About Bumgarner:  Brian and Jennifer Bumgarner founded Bumgarner Winery in the early 2000's with a vision for high quality wines grown locally in the El Dorado AVA. In the early years the vineyards, production facilities, and tasting room were all leased while the Bumgarner's built their brand and grew their customer base. "From the very beginning, this has been a full family endeavor", says Jennifer Bumgarner, "and continues until this day. Our children, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins have all lent their helping hands to bring this vision to fruition." Bumgarner Winery & Vineyards now spans the El Dorado wine region on both east and south sides of the region. Retail tasting rooms with picnic areas in both Fair Play and Camino offering wine tasting, Hard Ciders, flights, wine/cider by-the-glass, and picnic fare.

2015 Petite Sirah:  Acronyms come easy when describing Petite.  This one is best described as a gentle giant, imposing body and color, its underlying bold softness create luscious fruit of ripe black cherry, plums, cocoa powder and blackberry jam.  Pairs wih grilled meats and funky cheeses.  100% Petite Sirah.

Silver Medal Winner

2015 Maestro Bodega, a Zinfandel Blend, Red Table Wine.  42% Tempranilio, 33% Graciano, 25% Grenache.  A quintessentail Rioja blens with ample ripe fig on the nose.  Blueberry and pomegranate attack the palate while the subtle undertones of granite and vanilla balance the finish.  Soft and smooth, this would pair well with a rocking chair and some air.

About Helwig Vineyards:  Helwig Winery owns 60 acres of grapes in Northern California split between four vineyards located in Amador County and El Dorado County. Additionally, we purchase grapes from premier Amador vineyards so we can offer our guests a variety of high-quality wines.

Plan to pick up the items you won on Sunday, July 4, 2021 between the hours of 9 am to 11 am.  The location for Curbside Pick-up is 33540 Loop Road at the Community Services Building.

Auction items containing alcohol must be picked up no later than July 15, 2021.  Please bring your ID when picking these up.

If you are not in Kirkwood your items will be stored at the Community Services Building until September 4, 2021.  Please email JGillies@kmpud.com to arrange for a date and time for pick up.

Small items such as Gift Cards will be mailed to you at your residence address after July 5, 2021.
