Charcoal Venice is an inviting neighborhood restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef and Owner Josiah Citrin that was inspired by the backyard barbecues he hosts on weekends for his friends and family.

As the name suggests, everything is cooked indoors over live fire – whether over charcoal or in the coals. Citrin and Chef de Cuisine Jordan Olivo prepare a seasonal menu of craveable comfort foods featuring locally-sourced proteins and vegetables ideal for sharing family-style.

Whether diving into a platter of smoky grilled chicken wings with a beer or classic cocktail at the bar, or splitting a 48 oz. dry-aged Porterhouse and a bottle of Bandol with friends, Charcoal Venice is an everyday dining spot.

Chef Josiah revives his Michelin two-star institution with an intimate 14 seat restaurant with Chef de Cuisine Ian Scaramuzza at the helm. Chefs and sommeliers guide guests through a culinary adventure, where the kitchen and dining are one.

Working with California farmers from San Diego to Napa Valley, Chef Josiah sources the most unique and best ingredients available. The five-canapes, nine-course tasting menu showcases modern and classic techniques, using flavors from around the world.

Item Special Note

All orders are subject to a $.50 shipping and handling fee. This fee will be automatically added to your total purchase when the auction closes. Gift certificates will be sent via USPS or e-mailed if applicable. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email auction@friendsofwalgrove.com by March 24, 2022 and we will do so at your expense. If you would like to pick up an item, please contact us by March 24th, otherwise we will ship your item.

Larger items can be picked up in Los Angeles, CA or shipped at the winning bidder's expense via USPS Priority Mail. $9 for large envelopes, $16 for medium boxes, $22 for large boxes. Some items do not fit into these categories and you will be notified. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. We will insure packages when shipping; however, Friends of Walgrove is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
