SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa, with multiple locations in Los Angeles, is a different kind of sushi dining experience. Our restaurants serve only traditional sushi of the highest quality based on Chef Nozawa’s style of sushi. Our passion is to carry forward his great tradition and style of food – which many believe is the best sushi there is.

The only burger restaurant that exclusively serves 100% grassfed Wagyu beef.
Some things should never change. But we feel the American cheeseburger deserves better beef. If you want the best burger, you need the best beef. To us, that means clean tasting beef, with enough marbling to achieve a great sear. The one beef that fits that bill is Wagyu, from cattle that are never fed anything but grass.

We believe that the experience of eating hand rolls is truly something special and worthy of its own restaurant, so we created KazuNori — The Original Hand Roll Bar. At KazuNori, our commitment to quality is unwavering, just as it is at SUGARFISH. We serve only the freshest fish, along with specially harvested seaweed, housemade sauces, and our signature warm rice.  KazuNori is the first restaurant of its kind, and we think that eating one of our just-made hand rolls, with its crispy nori, warm rice, and delectable ingredients, will redefine what you think about sushi.

Our pasta is handmade in our kitchen in Bologna, Italy by “sfogline” who use traditional methods of sheeting and cutting — none of our pasta is extruded. It’s prepared fresh daily, using a type of egg that’s available only in Italy and is specially produced for pasta. The result is a superior noodle that is the foundation for our classic Italian dishes.

Dinner for 2 at MATU

Inspired by the best-tasting beef we’ve ever had, Matu is a Mäori (Indigenous New Zealand) word that means “essence, the gist of the matter, richness” and is pronounced ‘mah-too’ (equal emphasis on both syllables and an elongated “u” at the end). 

In a nod to Wagyu’s Japanese lineage, Matu offers what could be considered a steak Omakase, with a menu that showcases the various cuts of beef in a variety of preparation methods.
