Food has the transformative power of bringing people together, in Birmingham you will experience the connections that celebrate our culinary landscape and traditions of bringing family and friends to the Dinner Table. Over one weekend in October, Birmingham will host a series of signature events for the BHAM FOOD+Culture Festival. FOOD+Heritage will celebrate different cultures and communities of our city’s heritage that have played a role in shaping the Magic City’s culinary identity. Join us at the FOOD+Farmers Market at Pepper Place, named the best farmers and makers market in Alabama and some say the country. Here, you’ll find food fresh from the field and area kitchens alongside handmade goods from local vendors from all over Alabama. Expect chef demos, cookbook sales and signings, storytelling, and much more. FOOD+Fire presented by Southern Living celebrates the barbecue community, live-fire cooking, and Southern tailgate culture. The cornerstone event of the Birmingham Food + Culture Fest will also feature a Southern Living demo stage, a music stage with popular bands, local and regional breweries, and screens to watch live SEC football. Join us at the table as we showcase the best Birmingham has to offer.
