Dapper Barbershop & Shave Parlor

I have been searching for a place for my very picky 12 yo son and Jonathon did not disappoint. He engaged with my son, making sure he was happy with the length, part, cut, texture, etc. The extra face massage and hot towel was a luxury my son had never experienced and he loved it! We will be back for sure, and I'll take my 15 yo as well. Highly recommend!

Wow how things have changed since my last review. New staff new prices and definite change in service...

For a basic men's haircut $50!!!! Pretty expensive for a generic men's haircut. I mean just a haircut. No shave. Not like these are Elite Barbers. Come to find out 1 of The Barbers just got their licenses a few months ago. I just got the worst haircut with a very unskilled person. Asked him to trim my hair and taper. He ended up cutting and pushing my lining back. I looked retarded. He turned me into a moron...almost like I was supposed to be making an appearance on the Three Stooges. I Will not be going back ever. A professional barbershop shouldn't have students cutting people's hair at a professional price. I would pass on this place. No wonder it was Empty. Student Barbers charging $50 for a haircut, and have the nerve to expect a tip. Even though they have a license they don't have enough experience.

I am honestly so sad that I feel compelled to write this. I loved this shop. The guys there are all great, and I have always felt extremely welcomed and engaged with from the moment I walked in. But the pricing of the shop has become highway robbery.

I used to go to Dapper Barber pre-pandemic. Back then, a haircut AND beard trim without tip cost $60. This was already well above my usual haircut expenditure. However, the excellent quality, care and experience always justified the cost. Not to mention my visits included hot towel treatment and scalp massage FOR FREE. Every time, I was blown away with my haircut and experience, and I was always happy to leave a large tip, usually getting me to $75 for the total experience.

During the pandemic, prices rose. And I get that, I expected that. Times were tough on everyone, and the shop has to make ends meet and take care of their employees. I'm all for that. Haircut and beard trim now cost $75 total, not including tip. Pricey, but I understand and appreciate it, I still try to support. At this point, they have stopped doing the towel and scalp treatment. I chalked it up to the pandemic and hygiene concerns. Totally fair and makes sense.

Now we come to today, two years in and restrictions winding down. How are the prices? A regular haircut, with NO beard trim, hot towel or scalp treatment is $100?? Add a beard trim, is what now $75 extra? And you want the added amenities that were included before, tack on an additional $30 for towel treatment??

So what was once a $60 full experience, including hair, beard, towel and scalp, is now $200+. Have the guys gotten better at their skill? Surely. Is it nearly 4x better than it was 2 years ago?

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But I don't want to talk down to the employees. They're all extremely talented and kindhearted guys. They're good at what they do and deserve all the praise. I want to address the business owner at large.

I can appreciate and understand the need to make ends meet and the desire to do right by your employees during these difficult times. In fact I can commend you for that. What I can't commend, is your negligance to realize that your customers have been living through the exact same pandemic. We have also been dealing with the same economic struggles you have these past two years. Times are tough, insanely so. We feel it too. But scamming your clients out of hundreds of dollars for a haircut that is likely marginally better than two years ago, and attaching exorborant fees to amenities that were free not so long ago, is nothing short of insulting, and insidious.

I would love nothing more than to come back to Dapper Barber and support this business that I loved. To still pay as big a tip as I can to support the employees who I know do amazing work. But the amount of greed on display here, the advantage being taken on customers who are likely also struggling through these past two years, is sickening.

Likely this post will be buried, but I hope one of you reads this, and consider the path you've decided to walk.

This place is pretty cool. It has a very calm, relaxing and fancy feeling. I brought my son for a hair cut. We loved the new look. The young man who cut his hair was a total gentleman. My son usually doesn't like hair cuts but he felt at easy this time.
We definitely plan to come back again.

This is no ordinary barbershop, you aren't here for just the haircut itself, but for the Dapper experience as a whole.
Appointments can be made with ease online, and you can specify who you want your barber to be and what you are making an appointment for, like a haircut, beard lining, shave, etc.
All barbers (my barber being Oscar Estilos) are true experts at what they do.
They offer a complimentary drink and a facial massage with a hot towel as well with most services, which is the cherry on top for me!
Hands down, the best barbershop experience I've ever had, hence making me a weekly life long customer.

My son got a kids cut and loved it! Rubin did a great job. Making the appointment was easy online. The place is clean, not crowded and everyone wore masks (my son took his off for me to snap the photo when no one was around). We will definitely be back

These guys know what they are doing. If you need a go-to barbershop, they are tough to beat. The chill modern atmosphere doesn't hurt.

Victor is too damn good. He made me look like a total gentleman.

Came in looking shaggy with a messy hairdo after growing it out a few months and I could not be happier with how it turned out. Seriously perfect haircut all around. Victor listened to everything I wanted to do and how I wanted and even suggested thinning out a the back of my head before I even mentioned it since my hair always gets bushy back there. The hot towel and face massage was a great touch.

Not only are these guys fantastic barbers, the place has incredible music playing the entire time. Super ambient and relaxing, I ended up Shazaming a few songs so I could get them later that day. All this for a reasonable price (I had been going to a much more expensive place before and it was just becoming too much) I loved it and I am 100% coming back here.

Absolutely love this place. My son's cut always looks great. I pay more than I have at other places but it's worth it because it's a consistent quality cut every time. My son is 5 and Jonathan always takes his time and is attentive to every detail. The cut usually takes an hour. They have a great vibe going. The barbers are all really attentive and professional. I am conscientious that adults are coming in here to get a cut in a relaxed atmosphere so I would not bring my child if I knew he was going to be disruptive and could not sit still for the cut. I definitely recommend for children but only if you know your child can sit through it.
