My family and I have been seeing Ken and Lisa for our haircuts since before I was a teenager. While pricier than average, the quality of haircut and service is always top tier; hair wash, haircut to your expectations, and post-cut rinse -- convenient and I don't have to worry about that post-haircut rash/itch.

During my visits, I always ask for Ken. He introduced me to the parted fade hairstyle many years ago and I've stuck with this style since.

I have been coming here to cut and perm my hair for over 20' years and will start coloring my hair here as well when the time comes and they are just the best. The service, quality of work, and everything is great and top notch. To put it simply Ken and Lisa are the best of the best. I even tried other salons over the years just to change it up and have always come back because there is just no comparison. So now I know better, just stick with what is best and they are the best! I highly recommend either of them as I have had both work on my hair. Love them both!

I bought my daughter here. She got her hair cut maybe 2-3 inches in the back. No styling, no washing, just cut. They charged $50! For a haircut that took 35 minutes. Ken complained that it took much more time - He is incorrect.

Rip off. Never again. I don't care how nice you are. You don't take cash only, and then charge inappropriate prices. Next time, I will stand my ground, and not pay $50. Awful!!!

Have been going to Private I Salon for the longest time. Was so pleasantly surprised to find a hair dresser that's able to give me trendy and stylish hairstyles all the time. Lisa and Ken are both very friendly and nice, treating their customers like friends. Their new address is just a short walk across the street from where they used to be, still on Geary so it's super convenient, especially for people taking public transportation. Don't hesitate to try them out if you're looking for a hair stylist to give yourself a new look!

I was trying to find a place that accepts walk-ins and stumbled upon Private I Salon. They were able to fit me in within the hour. I'm always a bit nervous to get my hair cut by someone new, but I'm so glad I gave this spot a try! Ken and Lisa are SO sweet and genuine, Ken did my haircut and he gave me exactly what I wanted. Great price, nice people, and overall a great experience. I'll be coming back here for all future trims!

After many years of getting haircuts for Free 99 from my mom, I decided to go out to get a real grown-up haircut because my hair looked bad in my work badge photo (sorry mom, love ya!)

Been coming to get my haircut by Lisa, who is great at cutting my hair the way I want AND she's super friendly too! It's always a great experience coming here because both Ken and Lisa make the customers feel comfortable.

I got my hair dyed today and I absolutely love the care and detail that both Ken and Lisa put into it.

Private i Salon has been my (and my sister's and mother's) go-to for over two decades. Ken is truly a trusted stylist. He consistently delivers exactly what I want, and I always leave satisfied. Highly recommended for a reliable and tailored experience.

The location has changed. Just one block down towards the ocean. Love the decor. Will continue coming here.

Been with Private I salon for a long long time, since they were opened on the first day. From Clement St, to Geary Blvd. Now they just moved to almost across the street from their previous location, 5915 Geary Blvd. Still, haven't found another hair salon to compare, Ken and Lisa always accommodate of what I need, from long hair to short hair, different trends and fashion throughout the eras.
