My daughter and myself had a wonderful getaway, but if I were to leave feedback about the spa experience, it would not be the best. The staff was not very warm and understanding. The main pool of the hotel was broken, which we were not notified about ahead of time and the spa was supposed to be open to guests in exchange for that. When we arrived, we were told that all the seats were already reserved, which was not true as we were able to find the empty seats no problem. The wait staff inside the spa seemed rushed and bothered while taking orders. I was late to my massage due to my business meeting and instead of one hour, received half an hour massage which I was OK with as it was my fault. A generous gratuity was still added automatically to my bill without asking or any adjustments since my specialist only worked half times. We will left feeling like there was a sense of entitlement with a spa together. This is my feedback.
The hotel was all I expected and was able to recover from the initial problems we encountered on arrival.

Our experience was very underwhelming. We stayed in room 108 during our 3 night stay and every morning at 6:00am we were woken by a garbage/recycling truck picking up garbage. The first morning when we were woken up from it we thought it was unfortunate it but at least it wouldn't happen again but then it happened the next morning and the morning after that. Also besides the location, room 108 wasn't very nice. All the windows were covered in a frosted film so you couldn't see outside to anything. Another big disappointment was that when we booked the hotel at the beginning of January no where did it say that the pool would be drained and under construction. We were sadly disappointed when we walked out to go to the pool bar and told that it and the pool would be closed for our stay. My husband and I have stayed at many different Fairmont's and especially like staying on the gold floor so this hotel stay was quite a disappointment. We were underwhelmed by our room last year but we usually don't spend that much time in the room anyways so we decided to book the Fairmont again because we love all the jasmine that is planted all around the property and the taco truck across the street that is open late at night.

The service, the spa, the food, the thoughtfulness, the location. Simply the best, I never wanted to leave.
We loved the place, it is beautiful, the fire pits are very comfortable. Service was excelent! Our bedroom (#111) was noisy in the morning, we could here employees taking things out of a closet in front of our bedroom!

The hotel is lovely with excellent staff at the front deck, within dining, and housekeeping. However we did run into a problem both at the spa and with the hike that we booked and confirmed.
The Sonoma Mission Inn could use sone TLC. The grounds had many weeds. The exterior is many years past due for fresh paint.
