Excellent location. Clean room. Well looked after.
Three nights. Tower double queen room. Loved the tiki bar and lobby restaurant.
The hotel's location is very good, the rooms of the tower have an extraordinary view on the city.

It was an extremely unexpected stay that I had to reserve last-minute. I had to book a room for my boyfriend’s mother. The gentleman at the front desk demonstrated superior customer service during the check-in process. However, the room was dated, and my boyfriend’s mother later complained of the smell of mustiness and moisture. Additionally, there was at least one spider and one moth in the room. We were incredibly tired and given was only staying overnight, decided not to complain. Unfortunately, will not be returning to the hotel. Additionally, there was very little body wash in the room.

Room was big but carpet stained. Location of room on a corporate meeting room floor. Bar was slow and staff not very excited about their job. Bar closed early even though packed. Breakfast at both sit down and take away too expensive even for hotel standards. Extra charge for gym… waived will allacor app but still never have I seen that before in all my travels. Beautiful hotel, lobby and common areas but just average overall experience where I expected so much more. Stayed in sanfran in December at competitors and was more satisfied and less then half the price? Just wasn’t the Fairmont experience I expected.
Not impressed with the restaurants or service from the front desk. Cleaning staff was to be as expected
This is our 2nd “staycation“ at the Fairmont in three months. I am a third generation San Franciscan who now lives south of the city, but every time I return, it feels like I am coming home. The service provided by everyone, the valet, the front desk staff, room, service, bartenders, housekeeping,… Is first class and beyond reproach. We could stay at hotels that are less expensive but we would be missing what the Fairmont offers…A genuine first class San Francisco experience that is built on an understanding of the rich history of the City and the role that the fairmont played in that history.
