Campground FAQs
Is the campground open year round?
Yes! The campground is open year round. However, the summer season is very busy and we recommend making reservations in advance.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made a year in advance of the day of your arrival.
Do you provide shuttles to the park for campground guests?
Yes! Based on host availability, we are able to shuttle campers during the summer season from the campground store to the Visitor Information Center from the hours of 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Do you allow dogs?
The campground is pet-friendly. We do ask that all dogs remain on leashes and that you do your duty after your pet does theirs. A dog park is located at the campground and is available for use to Kentucky Horse Park campground guests, horse show competitors, and park guests.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made on ReserveAmerica.com. If you do not have Internet access, you may place a reservation by calling Reserve America at (888) 4KY-PARK or (888) 459-7275. Groups of 20 or more, please call (859) 259-4257 or (800) 370-6416. Maximum stay is 14 days unless approved by Campground management. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. All guests are required to check in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

๐ง๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ป Run/Walk Club is back! Starting next Monday, May 27, 2024 through September 2, 2024 the Park welcomes the community to explore the grounds free of charge! Run/Walk club meets every Monday evening (weather permitting) from 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm.
Guests are also invited for an evening of yoga in conjunction with the KHP Run Walk Club. The class is led by local yogini and equestrian, Darcia Fantucchio and meets under the shade by the Man oโ War statue at 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting). All levels are invited and the class is free.

๐ด๐ฅณ We`re celebrating our last Hall of Champions birthday today! Accelerate, Four-Time Grade 1 Winning Multi-Millionaire, is celebrating his 11th birthday today!
Foaled in 2013 this Kentucky bred stallion, Accelerate, was purchased by Hronis Racing at the 2014 Keeneland Yearling Sale. Sired by Lookin at Lucky, who won the 2010 Preakness Stakes and four other Grade 1 races, foaled by the stakes-palced Awesome Again mare Issues. Needless to say his pedigree stood out to Kosta and Pete Hronis.
After winning over $6.69 Million, Accelerate retired to stand at Laneโs End Farm on November 4th, 2018. Accelerate joined the Hall of Champions barn in the fall of 2023 and has been a wonderful addition!
