A solid store with a private lot. There is always a space as people are always coming and going. It is a fear that there won't be a space, but it always pans out.

This time we came for a toilet seat. There are no returns on toilet seats due to hygiene reasons. That made me nervous, as you never know if they will fit just right and are the right shape. Round versus oblong. We scored and got one that looked good and fit. We weren't able to fully screw it on like it described in the instructions. So, hopefully it will stay put. You're supposed to screw it on till the screw snaps off on the bottom, but we couldn't get it to snap. Next time I'm getting another type of toilet seat, one that I can secure without having to snap the bottom off. But, we didn't know what type it was until we had it open so I'm not sure how we'd pick a different method of adhering the toilet seat without opening the package. I might have to buy my toilet seat else where so I can check it out before purchasing and can retune it if we don't use it.

Other than that, they always have what we are looking for. I recommend this store as a whole. It has a private lot with parking, unlike the other businesses on this street.

What a great store! I've been going here for years (and it's my dog's favorite store.. he literally pulls me inside to get a dog treat as we're passing by). My experience this week was so exceptional, that I finally have to leave a review:

I showed up with 6 paint chips taken from my walls, hoping to match the colors to repaint after a recent whole-house electrical rewire and subsequent drywall patching. Jeffrey and one other gentleman (I unfortunately didn't catch his name!) in the paint department carefully scanned each chip, tested each color, and labeled each can. They were friendly, patient, and knowledgable.

One of the colors just didn't match, so I returned to the store the next day with a new (bigger) paint chip from that area of the house, and they tried again. This time, they got it just about perfect. They even let me trade out my original color for the new one at no additional cost.

There's no way I would have gotten this level of service at one of the other national hardware stores. Whenever possible, I'll be shopping at Ace from now on!

The selection is great! Well lit and welcoming.

Solid, well-stocked classical hardware store with a large helpful staff. Street parking in front and a small parking lot means I am usually able to find a spot (occasionally challenging). In addition to hardware, they have small lumber, propane, a paint department, cleaning supplies, kitchen and pickling/canning supplies, knife-sharpening and keys. The nursery (almost adjoining) is small, but nice, but parking is very limited.

Very helpful staff at this store. They have a good selection of items and offer paint matching, key making, and knife sharpening. There is a separate garden center just down the street.

The service at Grand Lake Ace is second to none. Sometimes I think there are more employees than customers. There is always a great selection of items the employees can help me find.

One important thing for me is I can bring my propane tank here and quickly get it swapped out for a fresh one.

From hardware to plants, this place is the best! They have knowledgeable staff that can help you get the right part you need and they have beautiful, healthy plants for the garden! My pup, Cayenne, LOVES visiting her friends here as she's almost always guaranteed a dog biscuit! I've taken it upon myself to bring some of the staff cookies (and dog biscuits because they go through them so quickly!) and they're always so appreciative! We customers are appreciative of them!

The staff is always super helpful.

Great place to go if you actually need help finding items or have questions. They have an excellent friendly staff that always directs me quickly to all of my items. I have made at least 5 trips to the store and have always gotten everything I needed. The parking lot is small so often have to wait for a spot during prime hours. Items are a bit pricier than your larger competitors but the service is much better.

I had a screw that was stripped on my bed that needed to be replaced. I didn't get a color match but they were kind and helpful.

So had someone in hardware help me find a perfect match. It was my first time but I def feel comfortable coming back. I left feeling empowered about my up and coming DIY projects.
