Sustainability Matters

Since the establishment of the Blue Rock began in 2010 we have had a passion for lowering our environmental impact.

We are focused on buying from farms and fisheries with the intent of sustainability.

In order to offer the highest quality menu items, menus will change.

The produce, meat, poultry, and fish come from farms, ranches, and fisheries guided by the principles of sustainability.

We compost everything. Our to-go bags and containers to our straws are all biodegradable.

At the end of the night, we usually are filling only a half bag of trash!

We focus on North American micro-brewed beers as well with a focus on the Northeast.

We support the World Central Kitchen

On February 24, Russia launched a large-scale military operation on neighboring Ukraine, invading the country on several fronts. The UN estimates over 1.3 million Ukrainians have fled since the attack began, with that number expected to rise dramatically. The journey is daunting, with many Ukrainian families traveling for days without food.

Working at a 24-hour pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland, WCK began serving hot, nourishing meals within hours of the initial invasion and are now set up at eight border crossings across the country. Additionally, we are supporting local restaurants preparing meals in eight Ukrainian cities including in Odessa, Lviv, and Kyiv. WCK teams are also on the ground in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and arriving soon to Slovakia to see how we can best support.

As the situation continues to evolve, WCK will continue to help in the best way we know how, with a freshly prepared plate of food—and we're ready to expand our support for families in need.
