Awesome Tips N Toes

When I first moved to Scotts Valley, I tried a few different nail salons in town. There are plenty of cheap places where the cleanliness is highly questionable and they crank you through quickly. I'd rather pay a bit more, know it's safe, have a great experience, and get a phenomenal pedicure and manicure...I found all of that with Carol at Awesome Tips 'n' Toes.

Carol's pedicures are superb! First, she uses three different products/techniques to exfoliate the feet, but she's gentle about them all. Then, she uses a cuticle softener and gently pushes back the cuticle (she does NOT do anything illegal like cutting the cuticle, as many other salons do). Next, you get a foot mask, followed by lotion/foot massage. The polish is just icing on the cake! My toes and feet always look great. In fact, I often get compliments on how cute my pedicure is! All of this is only $40 ($5 more if you prefer shellac polish). With regular polish, my pedicure lasts a solid month.

Carol's manicures are equally excellent. For $25 ($5 more if you want shellac polish) you get a multi-step manicure that includes a parafin dip. My hands are ridiculously soft when Carol is done (and the softness lasts for days, even if I work in the yard and wash my hands a lot), and the polish always look great.

On top of her high-quality work, Carol is the nicest person you'll ever meet. I've been going to her for a few years, now, and I feel like I know her entire family. She always follows up on the things we talked about last time I was in, and I look forward to following up with what's happening in her life. She's an animal lover and I always enjoy hearing about her pets and the wildlife by her house. Carol is a great person; I look forward to seeing her every time and am very happy to support her and her business. Honestly, I can't say enough about Carol and her work.

I found this hidden gem after hours of scouring the internet for a good nail salon. Carol is simply the best nail tech I've ever had my nails done by. I'm getting married in a couple of days and am a nail enthusiast myself and am extremely picky! She had the patience of a saint and was so sweet the whole time dealing with my craziness! And honestly, her prices are super fair! Because she knew this was for my wedding she made me her last appointment for the day and took almost 3 hours getting them just right! Most of the time was spent playing around with different polishes and gems to see what I liked. Eventually after a stroke of brilliance we came up with the perfect design for me! I originally wanted something crazy and over the top but what I wound up with is just as stunning and beautiful in its simplicity. Def go see her you will not be disappointed!!!!

Carol (the owner and person that will be doing your nails) is the sweetest, most pleasant lady. She makes me feel so comfortable. The ENTIRE salon is extremely clean and kept. If you look around the floor you wont see nail clippings like you do with some of those other nail salons. So that puts you at ease knowing the tools that are being used on you aren't someone else's. Its nice to have you time, She is the only one in the entire salon which is really nice cause your not annoyed by hearing other peoples conversations. Carol actually talks to you and actually speaks English. She will do whatever you want done with your nails and she is up with the times and knows what looks cute and her prices are great. She is really good at doing the more natural nails, like shellac gel or just reg mani. I found her on YELP and called her to see if i could make an appointment that day even though i was getting off of work later and being the sweet lady she is, she totally waited for me. Many salon owners would not have done that or even answered the phone if they were after hours.Ive gone to her for about 2 months now and i look forward to our appointments cause its such a pleasant happy experience every time,

Recommend Carol and Awesome Tips N Toes to any one. Top service, patience, and reasonable pricing. You will wonder why you didn't go there sooner. I would give Carol 10 Stars if they were available on yelp.

I popped in to this adorable little spot on a whim and the owner happily took me in. She was sweet and personable and did a FANTASTIC job on my nails. I went in desperate and came out more than satisfied. I can't thank Carol enough for doing such a perfect job. What a nice change to have a pleasant nail salon experience!

Carol is wonderful! She does such a great job on nails! I always got a gel manicure done and it always looked fantastic! She is the only person there so it's best to make an appointment. Her salon is very clean and has a nice vibe. Carol is very sweet and nice to talk to, she's very friendly and knows her customers by name. I haven't been in a long time because I no longer work in the area and I purchased my own equipment for gel nails. But I would recommend her to anyone Carol is wonderful!
