Enjoy getting Nearer to Nature on a hike through fields, forests, and wetlands.
Open meadows, mature forests, and marsh boardwalks connect interactive natural exhibits where native animals reside: black bear, mountain lion, raptors, river otter, bobcat, and more.
Plan approximately two-and-a-half hours to walk the exhibit trail. Trails are open May 1 through November 1, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last trail admission at 3:30 p.m.)

SLNSC is an Awesome place to visit and unwind. It sits on several acres between Squam and Little Squam Lakes in Holderness, New Hampshire. SLNSC is a neat combination of trails, zoo, educational and research facility. Wildlife trails take you through a wonderful bit of forest, with habitats containing rescued New Hampshire wildlife, educational interactive displays, and ecological awareness information. There is a store...The Howling Coyote...that has all sorts of merchandise and gifts for children and adults, and MEMBERSHIP PLANS that help maintain this Non-profit organization. If you like water...the Squam Lakes Tours give you a good hour around Squam Lake, where you experience the beauty that is New Hampshire, and the wildlife that lives there. The animals had a good amount of space. The paths were marked with signs for extra learning and I'm planning on bringing my grandson this summer.
