Exhibition Featuring Internationally Renowned Iranian Artist Shahpour Pouyan Now Open

Shahpour Pouyan: Winter in Paradise, a multimedia exhibition of architectural drawings, ceramic sculptures, and a new virtual reality experience, is now open in the Frist’s Gordon Contemporary Artists Project Gallery. In contemplative works that are astonishing for their beauty and sophistication, Pouyan critiques political power and expresses a poetic melancholy about the human condition.

Teens, we want to see your art!

Calling all Middle Tennessee teens! If you’re between the ages of 13 and 19, we want to see your art inspired by the theme of NATURE. A jury of Frist Art Museum curators and educators will select artworks to be featured in an exhibition this summer titled Teens Take the Frist!

The deadline for entries is June 2.

ArtQuest Gets a McQueen-Inspired Makeover!

Martin ArtQuest is looking super stylish with new stations inspired by our Lee Alexander McQueen & Ann Ray: Rendez-Vous exhibition! We are thrilled to present twelve design sketches by McQueen to inspire guests to create looks for their own spring/summer ’24 collection. The Drawing in the Round station features our mannequin glamorously dressed in a McQ garment with a headpiece inspired by McQueen collaborator Philip Treacy’s elaborate creations. Other exhibition-focused activities include dress-up magnets, a photo framing exercise, and books about fashion and friendship.
