Who we are

Koa Pancake House is a fast casual breakfast restaurant proudly serving traditional breakfast and lunch plates with a Hawaiian flare. We are known for our reasonable prices, large portions, and quick service.

History

In 1988, husband and wife, Il Man and Sam Soon Chung opened up their very first dine-in breakfast and lunch restaurant on the island of O’ahu.  Designed from Hawaiian Koa, one of the finest textured woods in world, the first Koa Pancake House was born. 

To expand the brand, the Chungs’ decided to open up a second location in 2001, to provide a fast casual dining experience.  Since then, six Koa Pancake Houses have been opened across the island.

In 2014, the business was kept in the family when Juno Chung, son of Il Man and Sam Soon, took over.  He plans to expand the brand throughout the islands of Hawai’i, to make Koa Pancake House the best breakfast and lunch option in not only Hawai’I, but all of the continental US.
