INHALE STUDY: Impairments That Affect Correct Inhaler Use in COPD
Dr. Mahler is Emeritus Professor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. Since October 2014, he works as a pulmonary physician at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire, where he is Director of Respiratory Services.
Dr. Mahler is currently participating in a one-year, study to determine the prevalence of both cognitive impairment and impaired manual dexterity in stable out-patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), as well as assess the relationship of cognitive impairment and impaired manual dexterity with patient errors using hand held inhalers.
