what are people saying?

I love working with the Elios staff! I've been seeing Enzo for massages to release some old skiing injuries, and I've also worked with Len on past finger injuries and Dr. Buse for nutrition. They are all incredibly knowledgeable and they care a lot about their patient's health and recovery. It's great to work with practitioners who are heavily involved in climbing and outdoor sports so you can have an in-depth discussion about injuries and recovery. Would highly recommend!

I saw Warren for a climbing-related injury since I wanted a physiotherapist with sport specific-experience. Warren is highly knowledgable, friendly and encouraging and he took the time to work with me to develop a tailored recovery plan. As a climber himself, he completely understands the frustration when an injury sidelines you and the desire to get back out there as soon as possible. He balances recovery with recommendations for return to activity perfectly and had me recovered and back at it faster than I expected. I would absolutely, 100% recommend Warren, not only for a climbing-related injury, but for any injury which keeps you from enjoying your favourite activities.

Best in town - especially if you're a climber. As a climber, I've had a few shoulder and upper back injuries where I've consulted Len and Warren at Elios health. They're both amazingly knowledgeable in their craft and I've been able to resolve my injuries with their help. I'd highly recommend checking them out if you need any physio attention.

  • physiotherapy

Our dedicated team of physiotherapists have backgrounds in sport, exercise physiology and human kinetics. One-on-one appointments mean the time during your appointment is dedicated specifically for you. Our therapists use manual therapy and may be combined with IMS (functional dry needling), prescriptive exercise and Pilates. They are familiar, or even experts in a variety of sports, and they support recovery and plan for performance.

  • RMT Main Street

Our massage therapists know how hard you work. Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) are important practitioners to support recovery, self-care, and athletic performance. They understand how to support clients towards their physical and mental well-being with a variety of musculoskeletal techniques. Our Registered Massage Therapists help both athletes and stress-out, overworked folk alike. Browse our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more about the clinic.

  • naturopathy & prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is a mixture of dextrose (sugar) and procaine (a non-toxic anaesthetic) that provides enough inflammation at a site of injury to promote the body’s natural healing response. More specifically, prolotherapy helps funnel growth factors and cells that produce collagen, like fibroblasts, to the injured soft tissue structures that need them.

View our prolotherapy page to learn more.

  • IMS (functional dry needling)

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), also known as functional dry needling, is used by our Main Street physiotherapists and other certified health care practitioners who are trained, and have passed an exam, and are certified by their respective Colleges. We use a thin, acupuncture-style needle is inserted into myofascial trigger points in order to elicit a response in the muscle.

While highly popular and in demand, our practitioners always do a thorough assessment before determining if it is the best choice of treatment. Click here to learn more.

  • $70 massage (bodywork)

Bodywork Therapists are those practitioners who are currently in training as Registered Massage Therapists in their field. They are not yet registered, and so their appointments cannot be claimed on most benefit packages.

However, their prices are often 50% lower than RMTs.

  • Main St Acupuncture

We have two Registered Acupuncturists who provide support for both internal and musculoskeletal needs.

Acupuncture is helpful for managing stress, recovering from injury, and can be used for treating a range of digestive concerns.

Dr. Marieta Buse, ND, also uses acupuncture as part of her Naturopathic Physician treatments.
