Hello!!
I’m Audrey Woulard, and my portrait studio is called Kids And the City ( KATC ). Thanks for visiting my website! I have been a full time professional photographer for 20 years. I am a wife, and mother to four handsome boys! I am based out of Chicago IL, and I specialize in the fashion forward high school senior, or the teenager who just wants to be different. I also photograph the family who doesn’t want a plain, or traditional portrait. Although, I photograph high school seniors in Chicago, I travel to all the surrounding Chicagoland suburbs such as Naperville, Plainfield, Willowbrook, Highland Park, Winnetka, Northbrook, and more.
I really like creating a unique experience and more importantly, unique images. I am sure many photographers say this, but I feel my pictures do not look like any other photographers work. They tend to stand out. Photography is all about light. Because of selfies, many of the teens today understand that. I look at light in a way many photographers do not. This is why my images look different and I want my clients to have images that look different than their friends. I tailor each of my photo sessions to my clients. This is why I have such a high return client base!
I can creatively showcase your hobbies, and sports. I receive an LOT of referrals, and I will tailor it where it is your OWN look and experience.

Chicago photographer Audrey Woulard is an internationally known leader within the portrait industry for 20 years. When she is speaking, it is always a standing room-only event. Often in a room of 500+ professional photographers. Photographers from all over the world come to learn precisely Audrey’s technique when working with teens. She has spoken on stage countless times at photography industry events such as Imaging and WPPI.
Recognized as one of the top photographers within her field, she has been named a Nikon USA Ambassador. She is very thankful to be selected to be amongst this small group of elite professional photographers. Audrey is also a Profoto Ambassador. Profoto is the leading lighting company in the world.
Audrey is often commissioned for very high profile commercial assignments such as Pottery Barn, and IAM's pet food. Her work has been published many times in People Magazine, InStyle, US Weekly, InTouch, Better Homes and Gardens, and many many photography industry magazines. Audrey’s teen work was also featured on the cover of Professional Photographer Magazine twice. She has also had the cover of Senior Style Guide magazine. In addition to her covers on industry magazines, she has articles written about her and work in RangeFinder Magazine, Click Magazine, Digital Photographer and many more.
Audrey regularly teaches her lighting technique at her own personal workshop called the Light Exposed Workshop. She has taught these classes to photographers all around the around the world.
In 2021, Audrey was awarded the prestigious VanGuard Award from Professional Photographers of America. The PPA Vanguard Award is presented in honor of Helen K. Yancy. This Award is presented to individuals for distinguished service to photography. The Award shall be given to an individual who, by their ability, ingenuity, and selfless sharing of talents, has enriched the profession of photography and provided a service of far-reaching value. Audrey was humbled to be recognized by this elite organization for something she does from the heart.
Audrey resides in the suburbs of Chicago, and she is a wife to her husband of 25 years, and together they have four boys who are the loves of her life. The only other girl in the house is her Boston Terrier Bailey! Two of their boys are proudly serving in the US Air Force.
