This season marks the 59th year of Fresh Tracks, which was a signature program of Dance Theater Workshop to bring new choreographic artistry to the forefront.
These performances feature new works created by Beth Gill, this semester’s Resident Guest Artist, guest choreographer Jordan Demetrius Lloyd, and student-created work from Rebecca Stenn’s “Transmedia: Process and Points of View” course.
Prepare to be enchanted by truly captivating evenings of dance that ignite the senses and stir the soul. Led by renowned choreographer Morgan McEwen and enhanced by the masterful lighting design of Becky Heisler, the program features a series of spellbinding ballets that promise to ignite the senses and stir the soul.
In tandem with the full-length performance in the theater, visit the lobby installation for the month leading up to the premiere. MX Oops’ lobby installation will feature custom neon signs, as well as films, portraits and augmented reality video shot during the creation period for the main event.
Technique with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company uses the vocabulary and stylistic sensibilities developed by Bill T. Jones and Janet Wong to prepare dancers for the work of the Company.
As the window to reverse climate change narrows, every action (and non-action) matters. Climate policies on the national and international front are crucial, but so are our individual choices. The Green Initiative was formed in Fall 2022 to examine, evaluate, and change every aspect of our organization in our aspiration towards a more sustainable future.
