Welcome to Greg Anderson Photography.

I’ve been involved in photography for as long as I can remember.  I grew up in a family that subscribed to Life, Sports Illustrated and National Geographic magazines, so publications with an emphasis on strong imagery inspired me from an early age.

I studied photography at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with Ed Bardill and Dr. Roger Grant.  After graduation, I was a staff photographer for the University of Wisconsin-Madison within the Photographic Media Center.  I worked there for 10 years photographing an incredible diversity of subject matter.  Subjects included all of the 23 different intercollegiate sports offered at UW, formal and environmental portraits, art at the Elvehjem (now Chazen) Museum, promotional and educational assignments at UW-Hospital and Clinics and aerials for the Department of Natural Resources.  Because of this rich experience, I felt uniquely qualified to tackle any assignment when it came time to break out on my own.  My clients include The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Beloit College, The Madison Symphony Orchestra, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Dane County, the New Yorker magazine, Trek Bicycles, the Smithsonian Institute and the Defense Department.
