Riding on a historic train is a unique experience. Where else can you ride in a living museum? Our signature ride, the Hill Country Flyer allows you time to explore our vintage train cars, historically restored for your enjoyment! On board the train, you will wind through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and Short Creek Canyon. During your two hour layover in Burnet you can enjoy lunch on your own, shopping, and a leisurely stroll around the historic town square. Finally, relax and enjoy time with your friends and family...as the train returns to our Cedar Park Depot in the afternoon.

Sit back for a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past onboard the Bertram Flyer! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15 minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world!
Princess Flyer- August 3
Get ready for a magical journey with the Princess Flyer! Activities on board the train will animate your Princess, while the Professional Princess Team brings some of your favorite characters to life! While your Princess is aflutter, Queens and Kings will enjoy our fully restored vintage train cars from the golden era of rail travel, built in the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s. On board the train, your journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15-minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. A great spot for photos of your Princess with the train! All ages can ride in all cars on this special ride. There are no adults-only seating areas.
