Due to labor required, would also replace the sensor itself to prevent having to do the job again down the road should the sensor fail. At this time the 4th gear switch is okay, but would advise to replace at this time due to common failure and restively low cost of replacement.

2013 Ford C-Max
Mileage162,827Service Date4/30/2024Services Performed- Engine Faults: P26CE-00
- Engine Coolant Pump Overspeed/Air In System – Not Current DTC. OBDII Permanent Codes ($0A) P1299
- Cylinder head overtemp protection active Found cooling system is full and heater working normally. Found leak from the passenger side heater hose to core coupler. No other leaks found. Fault codes indicate that engine did overheat and the water pump was overspeed due to cavitation or from pump failure. Customer called and questioned about adding coolant. Confirmed coolant has been added more than once then system was normal. Cavitation suspect for the water pump fault code as it is operating normally at this time. Advise to replace both heater core hoses due to common coupler failure as well as the thermostat due to overheating occurrences.
- Also includes replace Heater core inlet hose assy
- Hazardous waste disposal fee
- THERMOSTAT HOUSING &/OR OUTLET – Remove & Replace
