Since 1923, Soroptimist International of Sacramento has supported women and girls in their education and career development and joined in campaigns to end gender-based violence and raise awareness of gender equality and women’s rights.

From indigenous and cultural coming of age practices to tattooed ladies performing in sideshows to the upper-class Victorian women who helped popularize the tattoo trend, visitors will discover the largely unknown history of California women and tattoos through photographs, personal histories, and artifacts.
