Lakewood Dermatology specializes in medical and surgical Dermatology and treats all disorders of the skin, hair and nails in both children and adults. Dr. McDonough does not perform cosmetic procedures, such as Botox, fillers, or lasers, which allows him to focus on what he loves, which includes skin cancer screening, excision of skin cancers and benign growths, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and complex dermatologic conditions such as connective tissue diseases, cutaneous lymphomas, skin cancer in transplant recipients, and drug reactions. Dr. McDonough’s philosophy is to provide evidence based, cost conscious care for his patients.

Dr. McDonough completed his internship and Dermatology residency at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. During residency training, Dr. McDonough was honored to be selected chief Dermatology resident at the Dallas VA Medical Center and to receive the 2016 Cognitive Excellence and 2016 Star Clinician awards. He has continued his passion for education by spending Thursday afternoons training dermatology residents at the Dallas VA Medical Center and by serving as the Dermatology consult attending one week per month at Baylor University Medical Center.
