A Hui Hou

Petersons’ Upland Farm is humbled and honored to have served our community for 114 years. In the coming months, we will be winding down our egg sales as we transition to retirement. We anticipate eggs being available through February. We will continue to have manure, t-shirts, mugs, and tote bags available beyond February.

We are grateful to the community for your support. We want to thank our loyal customers, many of whom we have known for generations. Our family would also like to thank our dedicated employees who have worked alongside our family over the years in helping us provide farm fresh, quality eggs.

Please visit the Petersons’ Upland Farm website or our Facebook page for updates and new farm hours as we transition.

The Peterson Ohana would like to express our sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve you. As always, we encourage you to support other local farms!

Our Story

Petersons’ Upland Farm is a family poultry farm located in the heart of Wahiawa. The farm was established by James Peterson in 1910. Being born and raised in Honolulu and completing agricultural studies at Cornell University, James moved out to the country and began the farm, raising chickens, a small herd of Jersey dairy cows, and various crops. He sold eggs, milk, and cream to customers in Wahiawa, Schofield Barracks, and the surrounding area from a horse-drawn buggy. The dairy phased out in the 1940’s and we have since focused on egg production. James passed the farm on to his two sons, James Jr. and Alan in the 1950’s. Over the years, flock sizes were increased as chicken eggs continued to be the main focus of the farm. With this expansion, local families and restaurants across the island were using Petersons’ Upland Farm fresh eggs in their culinary creations!

Throughout our 114 year history, the farm has remained family-owned and operated. Our legacy has been blessed by 4 generations of family members and many dedicated employees who have all been committed to taking pride in caring for our chickens.
