Structural Integration and More

I offer a variety of services, as I work with different modalities to align your life force and keep your body and spirit in balance. I utilize an integrative and holistic approach to physiotherapy with an emphasis on identifying and addressing current stressors, exploring past experiences and family dynamics, and developing positive life patterns.

Therapeutic Bodywork

I believe that touch affects us from a sub-cellular level all the way through to the environments we live in. Massage can help the body do its job more efficiently by freeing natural movement, releasing blockages and creating a healthy ground substance. My goal is to facilitate a natural, healthy environment for your body to perform its unique and wondrous mechanics.

Techniques

  • Swedish & Lymphatic Massage

  • Yoga enfused bodywork

  • Deep Tissue/Structural Integration (based on Rolfing)

  • Radical Therapy/Bodymind (Finding the root of the problem)

  • Bodywork for Vision Improvement (Based on Bates Techniques

  • Somato Emotional Release (Based on Craniosacral)

  • Relief from chronic pain from past injuries or traumas.Greater endurance, control and recovery from sports activity/injury.

  • Improved Yoga/Meditation practice: increased flexibility and movement.

  • Ease from eye related stress caused by computer screens and artificial light; migraines and cranial tension.

  • Experience more joy and pleasure in daily activities.

  • Improved concentration and mental function.

  • Ease cranial tension and pain from Headaches and TMJ.

Why Bodywork?

The connective tissue (fascia) is everything that we are made up of. It is our ground substance. Through this ground substance nutrients, hormones, antibodies, gases, toxins and wastes are exchanged, eliminated and or utilized. When blockages occur our bodies experience pain, discomfort and sometimes disease.  Through bodywork, my goal is to open restrictions of the fascia allowing freedom and release so the body will create its own healing environment.

Who I Am and What I Do

My name is Crespin Rosas and I call myself  a Structural Bodyworker or a Practitioner of Structural Integration. When people who do not know me ask what I do they usually think that I am someone who fixes automobiles. What I tell them is that I am a fixer, but I help people fix themselves.  And if people were cars I would be the one you would take your Maserati or Lamborghini to.

Most of us have had a relaxing spa massage and believe me, there is a time and a place for relaxation. But what I do is deep tissue bodywork that helps people understand the anatomy of their bodies and to help them find the root of their pains and limitations.

Let’s say that your back hurts. A massage therapist will work on your back, neck and shoulders. I will work to help you uncover what is actually causing the pain in your back, the where and why the pain in your body originates from. I help you find the root of that pain to help you manage or keep yourself free from that pain.

This blog is to help impart information to those seeking bodywork as well as to practitioners of bodywork  to help further their physical goals as well as to help keep your body in top working condition for as long as possible. I’ll be writing blog entries, explaining and diagramming  certain areas of anatomy, how certain body parts function and how they work in consortium with each other  and posting articles that I find useful.  I will also be sharing what I’ve learned during my 17 years of experience of working with my clients--as much as I have taught them, they have taught me.

So here is what I’ve learned from my journeys in bodywork:
