Donor Spotlight

 Kathryn Kim, an interior design associate with Kirksey Architecture based in Houston, turned her attention to her alma mater for 2023’s OU Giving Day.

“As an alumna of OU’s interior design program, I am happy to be in a position where I can give back,” Kim said. “Historically, female-dominated industries have been overlooked. As a registered interior designer, I want to make sure that current and future students are never made to feel that our profession is not as prestigious or important because it is viewed as primarily women-led.”

Kim attributes her current successes in the industry to OU’s interior design program and thus chose to contribute to the Interior Design Program Development fund.

“The university works to support its programs, and I am honored to be able to aid in those efforts,” she said. “Knowing that the program is continually preparing students to excel in their careers and knowing that my contributions will have a positive impact on the OU community makes me proud to be one of the many supporters of the university.”
