FEATURED PLAYHOUSE NOVEMBER 23 - 29

MONARCH BUTTERFLIES TAKE FLIGHT

Designed by: Genevieve Esson

Genevieve's Inspiration for this beautiful playhouse:

Monarch butterflies are so beautiful and colorful and bring quick joy to the heart of the viewer. Imagine a hot, sunny St. Louis day and a child running with a butterfly net, chasing the exquisite Monarch butterfly.

While the exterior of Monarch Butterflies Take Flight is alive with fantastic paintings of butterflies and a giant caterpillar, the interior is filled with interactive designs where the child can learn about the Monarch butterfly, perhaps one day choosing to be a scientist or artist.

“My inspiration is to bring joy to the heart of the child and awareness about the butterfly’s fragility. I wish the child who plays in this playhouse a happy existence and hope to inspire them to learn and enjoy about the Monarch butterfly!” - Genevieve Esson

No Room for a Playhouse?
Please consider purchasing or making a donation to have a Playhouse given to one of our many families served by Wings or another worthy organization.

Proceeds from the Raise the Roof Project will support child-centered areas at the future BJC Hospice House in west St. Louis County. It will serve pediatric and adult patients facing a life-limiting illness and will provide a peaceful setting for families. Funds will support child/family areas such as outdoor space, including but not limited to a playground and garden, an expressive therapy room and a children’s and teen grief room.

Friends of Wings, the volunteer-run fundraising arm of Wings, has raised more than $5 million for the programs offered by BJC Hospice which include grief retreat camps for children, teens, couples and mothers and a mobile expressive therapy program.
