Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods' Spring Online Auction

April 16, 2010 to April 29th at 10:00 am

This event launches a celebration for our 25th Anniversary as a State Park Cooperating Association.

We are offering a number of fun and unique items in our first of two online auctions this year. Funding will help support our efforts to preserve the natural and cultural resources in our state parks through education and stewardship programs.

The online portion of the auction will run through April 29th and then a live "Silent Auction" event will take place at a May Day in the Redwoods event on May 1st. More details are available on our Website.

Support Stewards' efforts to SAVE OUR STATE PARKS.

Stewards has been working hard for the past three years to keep our parks open and to advocate for a sustainable funding source for our parks. We are almost there!

Stewards was the most successful grassroots organization statewide with signature gathering to get the State Parks and Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund Act of 2010 on the November ballot. Our 50 volunteers helped the campaign by collecting almost 9,000 signatures.

Besides this effort, funding from our auction will go towards supporting FREE environmental education programs for youth in our community and from the greater Bay area.

In addition, Stewards recruits and trains docents through our Docent and Community Education field seminar series.

Docents and Volunteers provide services for tens of thousands of park visitors each year. Stewards support over 350 active State Parks volunteers who offer education and stewardship opportunities in our parks.
