In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we invite you to browse and bid now on more than 100 beautifully designed clay masks to support early learning for all children.

The 100 Masks Online Auction is the fundraising component of the year-long M.A.S.K. Project (Math + Art + Science for Kids), which is central to DuPage Children’s Museum’s Early Learning mission.

We are honored that 70 leading celebrities have signed these masks and 80 talented artists have designed them, or created their own works of art, to support our work with more than 100 school and 60 community service organizations throughout Chicagoland.

The celebrity mask signers include Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy winners; sports icons from tennis, golf and Olympic gold medalists; our home team favorites from the Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears and Cubs; top recording artists from pop, rock, classical and country music; Broadway theater icons; national news commentators; culinary stars and government leaders; an internationally renowned prima ballerina and poet; popular authors; a legendary astronaut …and many more.

Each bisque (clay) mask has been beautifully crafted by Lisa Harris of Chicago’s famous Lillstreet Gallery and features a specially designed back for easy hanging.  The masks are 7" x 9" inches, weighs approxiamately 1.5 lbs., and will be shipped at no charge to the winning bidder in tested protective packaging.

The auction runs from 6:45 p.m. March 1 to 6:45 p.m. on April 13, 2013. Browse through the Celebrity and Artist Galleries, and the Benefit Ball Gallery, where guests at the April 13th Benefit Ball will be bidding along with the general public for 12 of our celebrity-signed masks.

For more information about the other components of the M.A.S.K. Project, Children’s Imagination Art Project or the Benefit Ball, go to www.dupagechildrensmuseum.org and click on “M.A.S.K. Project.” We hope you’ll share this news with your social network.

With many thanks from the thousands of children whom we serve, the staff, partners and supporters of DuPage Children’s Museum.
