OLQA has been providing high quality Catholic education to students kindergarten through 8th grade since 1964. This year marks OLQA’s 50th Anniversary serving the Newport Beach community.
Proceeds from this year’s event will provide support to our beloved teachers, programs & facilities.
FUND-A-NEED
1) Our school is in need of a school wide technology upgrade & integration program. We want to provide our students and teachers with the most current technology & ensure they have the proper training and support to use it effectively in the classroom and it enhances their grades ciriculum.
2) Carson Field is in desperate need of re-grading and leveling to ensure optimal drainage, safety & recreational use. Our sports field needs to be put on a yearly maintains program so the students can enjoy it for play time & for after school competitive sports ALL year long.
3) Facilities Improvements/Classroom Needs- We'd like to update our faculty lounge and kitchen area. This will provide our wonderful teachers & staff, a nice conversation area, place to relax, enjoy lunch, & grab a good cup of coffee before heading out to embrace our children. Our faculty & staff are the best & they deserve a warm, inviting place to sit together. Also, as contributing parents we'd like to ensure that with these auction dollars our teachers never feel the need to reach into their own pockets to purchase a learning tool or special activity they feel would benefit their students. We'd like to provide them a reasonable budget with the freedom throughout the year to purchase additional class items they feel would enchance learning, creativity, & help them become effective teachers.
