Artisan Showcase's Online Auction is Open!

The online portion of Artisan Showcase & Auction is now open. The auction will run from November 10, 2014 7:00PM to November 13, 2014 11:00PM. Proceeds go to REAP (Richmond Entrepreneuer's Assistance Program) in order to support vocational and job training for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Auction items range from awesome gift certificates to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise, all placed beautifully into gift baskets. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!

After the auction, please join us for a magical evening and an incredibly fun-filled day. Support our friends with disabilities. Make gifts for seniors & veterans. Join REAP's 1,000,000,000 card challenge. Pick up winning bid items!

We are featuring local artisans with disabilities who will be selling their products. This free community event will raise awareness of the employability of people with disabilities. 100% of the funds generated by the individual artisans will be kept by those artisans.

What is REAP?

The Richmond Entrepreneur’s Assistance Program (REAP) is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive job training and meaningful employment for new and diverse entrepreneurs. Our primary focus is to meet the specific need for workforce development for people with disabilities.

Using a social enterprise model, we have applied an entrepreneurial approach to address the high unemployment rate for people with disabilities. We have launched two business using these methods: Heart to Heart Gift Baskets & Packaging and New 2 U Sports.

What’s unique about REAP’s job training?

• Comprehensive training with many transferable skills to equip our participants with the training and experience they need for employment with us or in the community, as they choose.
• Includes computer training; inventory management. We are preparing people for more than entry level positions.
• Working with schools and businesses, serving as a bridge to employment by customizing our training to better prepare our participants for employment with these and other companies.
• Our job training also teaches participants that every person has value and worth and when we work together everyone benefits.
