Bringing Basketball to the Students in Bois Tombe!
Friends of Haiti in NY (FOHNY) is a Brooklyn based nonprofit that supports the rural Haitian community of Bois Tombe. Since its founding in 2007, FOHNY has built a 12 room schoolhouse with a student population of 500+, grades K-9. While healthcare and infrastructure are also key elements of our mission in the community, we are also seeking to give the students an expanded opportunity for extracurricular activities. Aside from a dirt field for soccer, there is no athletic facility at the school. As you can imagine, an outdoor basketball court would be provide an amazing lift for the students! Help out this holiday season by bidding on some amazing items for yourself or your loved ones and help the kids of Bois Tombe take on a new sport!
