The Valle Crucis Community Park is a nonprofit community park nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. The park was founded by members of the historic Valle Crucis community in 1983, and is still funded almost entirely by donations from individuals and businesses. The 25-acre park offers a .75 mile paved track, soccer fields, playgrounds, access to the scenic Watauga River for wading and fishing, and some of the best birding in North Carolina.
