Welcome to the HESBY OAKS School 2010 Online Action.
The online portion of Hesby Oaks Spring Gala is now open. The auction will run from February 20, 2010 to April 23, 2010, with the live event taking place on May 1, 2010.
All proceeds from our auction will go to the Hesby Oaks School H.I.P (Hesby Involved Parent) Association to support an exceptional learning environment only possible through dedicated parent involvement and community support. Auction funds raised last year enabled us to provide for a school nurse, teaching assistants, art and music classes, classroom supplies and other critical and innovative programs not funded by the State.
Our Auction team of volunteer parents are hard at work collecting donations from our community of wonderful neighbors and supporters to create an amazing auction that will allow you to bid on items guaranteed to delight and surprise!
Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to Sporting event tickets to home and bath items, kid parties unique experiences and, as we mentioned... events and products to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community and let the bidding begin!
In addition to our online auction, our "What Happens At Hesby...stays At Hesby" Fourth Annual Gala Event will be held at Maggiano's in Woodland Hills, on Saturday, May 1, 2010, featuring a live and silent auction, dinner, dancing and a friendly game of poker. Hesby Oaks School is proud to celebrate its 4th Annual Fundraising Gala on May 1, 2010. Located in Encino, California, Hesby Oaks serves grades K-8th.
Our parent association, Hesby Involved Parents (HIP) works hard to supplement and enhance the education of the students at Hesby Oaks. With the severe budget cuts we experienced this past year and the looming ones coming this year, our fundraising efforts are more important than ever.
The highlight of our gala is a silent and live auction. We count on the support of generous merchants and companies like yours for donations. HIP is dedicated to developing and supporting school-wide programs that bridge the gap between what LAUSD provides and the quality educational experiences our children highly deserve. As you may have heard, many vital instructional programs are no longer fully funded by state or local funding, and this list is only growing as we face yet another round of severe budget cuts.
We rely on money raised through our auction to help fund these vital programs at our school such as:
* Art, science and music enrichment programs
* Physical Education coaches, curriculum and equipment
* Educational school assemblies and field trips
* Music teacher, chorus, instrumental instruction, orchestra
* Computer lab and instructor
*Full-time school registered nurse (a rarity in most public schools)
It is with great hope that you support our event by either donating to our fundraiser through direct donations or through bidding our fabulous auction items. Whether you have merchandise, certificates, services or a donation of direct funds, your tax-deductible donation is a terrific way to support Hesby Oaks students.
