Item Description
This functional sculpture, made of stoneware clay, was created using the hand building coiling method, and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. The piece was inspired by a backpacking trip on the Kingdom Heritage Trail this past fall. It represents the twisting, diverging, and rejoining trunk of a tree which is covered in shelf fungi. It would look beautiful containing a bouquet of fresh flowers, branches or as a stand alone piece. It was created by artist and LI art teacher, Alayne Tetor. It measures 14" tall by about 8" wide.
