Mendocino Spirits is the creation of Crispin Cain, who brings 30 years of distillation and cellaring experience to each glass.
The bourbon has aromas of butterscotch, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, and maple syrup. It finishes soft and smooth with malt and toasted grains. Crispin’s Bourbon is a continuing source of accolades and pride.
The Captain Fletchers's Private reserve Rye landed in the top ten of American produced Rye Whiskies in the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Crispin pays keen attention to fermentation using the Charentais Pot Still, the double distillation method, bringing the spirit to barreling strength with filtered rain water, and choosing fine barrels to match fine spirits. He carefully selects the distillates which become Mendocino Spirits.
