Our Auction and Gala on Saturday night were a success becuase of you. Thank you to all our guests that bid so generously on our fabulous items! Thank you to the PTO Chairs, Gala Committee Members, Rockport Schools Teachers & Staff and countless other Volunteers who worked tirelessly for months now to make this event a success!

The iPad Mini "Techie Time" Raffle - includes a new iPad mini, Accessories and $75 in iTunesCards - is closed. The winner will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30th along with the 6th Grade Restaurant & Spa Raffle!

Thanks to your generous enthusiasm in years past our auctions have allowed the PTO to enrich the learning experience of the students of Rockport Public Schools in so many ways. With your help, this vital support will continue.

Please note that for some of our items, online bidding will end on April 26 and they will carry over and end at the Silent and Live Auction Event on April 27th. These items are clearly marked under the Special Instructions area in each item listing. Absentee Bidding will be available for these items so please contact us if you would like to bid but cannot attend out event on April 27th.

The remaining online only items (over 200) will close on Monday April 29th between 7:30-8:00pm.

What is the PTO?

The Rockport PTO is an active and committed group of volunteers who assist in supporting and supplementing the education of all Rockport students from preschool through high school.

The funds generated by the PTO's efforts help support diverse programs, teacher requests, and classroom initiatives, that are not financed by the annual school budget.

As school budgets continue to be squeezed, the PTO helps ensure that enriching experiences remain for students by supporting literacy and science programs. The PTO also helps fund extracurricular activities for the middle and high school students, such as DECA and drama competitions that assist students in their college applications enabling them to write about how they applied their education outside the classroom.

Each year, the PTO spends approximately $30,000 for these efforts as well as, including transportation costs attached to enriching learning opportunities outside the classroom. On a community-building level, the PTO sponsors block parties, family movie nights, and a student art show as part of its ongoing effort to support family bonds that in turn foster student well-being and enhance parent teacher relationships. The PTO also sponsors educational speaker programs on diverse topics, from internet safety to bullying prevention and more.
