The Hank Shirley Online Auction is Open!

Now in its 26th year, the Maryland Horsemen's Party serves as the primary fundraiser for the Sallie Robertson Memorial 4-H Horse Endowment Fund. In 1986, Hank Shirley organized the first Silent Auction and continued to organize the auction for fourteen years. Indeed even today twelve years later, the items in this catalog are in many cases, due to efforts made on her behalf.

And who was Hank Shirley? She was the epitome of the phrase I'll be glad to. There is an endless list of contributions Hank has made to our youth, to 4-H, to humanity. She was a hard person to keep up with; she was involved in so many things. One can not begin to name them all. Hank was a rolling workshop who would and could provide help and guidance wherever, whenever needed.

One counts themself fortunate to have been part of her world. She was an inspiration. In her honor, The Maryland Horsemen's Party Silent Auction has been named Hank Shirley's Auction.

Starting on September 9, 2012, Hank Shirley's Auction will once again raise money for 4-H. The on-line auction will run from September 8, 2012 to October 4, 2012, with the live event taking place on October 7, 2012 at Ten Oaks Ballroon in Clarksville, MD. Proceeds go to Sallie Robertson Fund Maryland 4-H Foundation in order to support the 4-H horse program.

4-H will also raffle off a truck. Tickets can be purchased through Bidding for Good or by mail.
