ARTS IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM

Sponsored by the League of Volunteers-LOV and The Newark Arts Council, a division of LOV, the program provides Multi-Cultural Assemblies for Tri-City Schools.

PURPOSE

To promote an understanding and appreciation of the performing arts for students from elementary age through high school in Fremont - Newark and Union City

WHY

Because of the funding cuts in the fine arts departments in your schools - a survey sent to all schools in the Tri-Cities came back requesting these programs for their students.

GOAL

To work in partnership with Tri-City schools in providing these multi-cultural and other performing arts assemblies that provide an appreciation of the arts and a glimpse into the many cultures of our area.
