The McLean Auxiliary is having an online auction fundraiser
Starting on November 29, 2019, the McLean Auxiliary will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for the Making Dreams Come True program.
What is the Making Dreams Come True Program?
This program kicked off in April by granting wishes of several individuals through our Red Sox Day in May and a Music Festival in August. Individual activities, meals and day trips have been arranged at local gardens and restaurants.
Most recently, we filled a week with British activities for two residents who had wished they could visit the country. The highlight of the week was an English themed fish and chips lunch followed by High Tea. Many donned hats for the occasion, watched a video collection of all things English and sipped the tea of choice along with their delicious trifle dessert.
As we move into the New Year, our first individual dream granted will be to attend a UCONN women's basketball game! We look forward to making many more of our residents' dreams come true.
