Peruvian model and actress Juana Burga was discovered in 2010 and her modeling career has had a meteoric rise ever since. She is the only Peruvian fashion model to walk in New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week and in August 2016 Revista Cosas Peru recognized her as the most successful Peruvian model of all time.
As an actress, Burga will make her film debut in “Los Ultimos” (The Unseen), the upcoming survival thriller from director Nicolas Puenzo that will be released in 2017.
Most recently Burga appeared in the television commercial, “It’s a Love Thing”, for L’Oreal Paris’ Superior Preference. She’s also appeared in campaigns for Urban Outfitters, Vera Wang, Aveda, Levi's, and a global campaign shot by Cass Bird for American Eagle.
Throughout her career, Burga has appeared in many notable editorials including Vogue Paris’ April 2013 Peru Issue by Mario Testino and Emmanuel Alt, Vogue Portugal, Glamour Russia, V Spain, L'Officiel France, Paper Magazine, Tatler H.K., A Magazine, BIBA Magazine & IO Donna Magazine. She has also been featured on the covers of Bash and Condé Nast Traveler.
In addition to her work in modeling and acting, Burga is an Ambassador in Peru working to protect the artisans of sustainable fashion who export material worldwide. She is also preparing to launch her second clothing line--a sustainable fashion line that includes items that are hand made in her home country. Her collection will launch at Mate, Mario Testino’s museum in Peru along with an exhibition on the artisans of Peru.
Burga currently resides in New York City and travels frequently to Peru.
