Item Description
The artist, Sara England, graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Graphic Design, and initially went into the garment industry. She had just finished creating a line of tee shirts based around a Black Lab, when a friend of hers asked her to design a tee shirt based on a Golden Retriever with a martini. That design went on to become her “Party Animals” theme, which eventually extended to Pit Bulls and other breeds.
At the time, Sarah had an adorable, rescue boxer named Sami. Sami used to whine any and every time she wanted something. It was sweet Sami’s whine that inspired Sarah to move from dogs and cocktails to “Dogs WINEing”, her most popular design where she has featured several different breeds of dogs and even a few Mutts.
With all of the dog themed pieces, Sarah decided to include cats in her designs by expanding some of her themes, like her “Lake Cats” design.
Sarah and her rescue Pit Bull, Chance, currently live and work in Rehoboth, Delaware. They often support many animal related nonprofit organizations, like FOHA, by donating time, design work, and auction items. Sarah and Chance’s goal is that their donations will raise the money needed to allow these animal welfare groups to continue their efforts.
