Item Description

Kitty will provide a private cooking lesson at the comfort of your own home. Choose from recipes from her WSJ column “Slow Food Fast or from “Slow Fires: Mastering New Ways to Braise, Roast, and Grill” - which she co-wrote with Chef Justin Smillie. You may also opt to confer with Kitty and come up with your own menu! Either way you will have Kitty by your side in your kitchen to help you prepare an unforgettable meal!

Item Special Note

Kitty is a renown chef having cooked in New York, France, Italy and Portugal and she was nominated for the James Beard Award for General Cooking. Early in her career Kitty served as the Culinary Artist-in-residence at the acclaimed Montalvo Arts Center in California. She has worked at Slow Food Nation, The Smithsonian Folk Life Festival: Food Culture USA, curated Slow Film Night at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Slow Food Nation exhibit and co-created a dinner for Montalvo’s 2009 Arts Initiative celebrating Silicon Valley’s agricultural and culinary history. In addition to her WSJ column, she has also written for The NY Times, Real Simple, and National Geographic. Her book “Life is Too Short to Chop Onion” was published by Readers Digest which has been translated into several languages.
